Resort Policies

It’s nice to know what to expect when you go on vacation, right? So if you’re considering staying with us, but still have some questions, check the list below for answers to questions we regularly hear from guests.

How do you guarantee my reservation?

Guests must be 19 years of age and have a valid credit card to make a reservation. The same credit card must be provided upon check-in.

Deposits – In order to guarantee your reservation, a deposit is required with every booking at Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort. Please ask our Guest Services Agents about the deposit required when making a reservation direct. If booking online, the deposit policy will be clearly listed beside each rate. If you have any questions, our team is always happy to help. 

Online Travel Agents – Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third party travel professionals are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary depending on the rate booked. Here is some information on each type of cancellation policy we offer at our Resort:

Flexible Rates – Reservations must be canceled prior to 72 hours of arrival to receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations received within 72 hours will forfeit the deposit.

Non-Refundable Rates – Payment is required in full at time of booking. If you change or cancel your reservation, you will not get a refund or credit to use for a future stay.

Long Term Rate – The deposit is fully refundable up to 30-days prior to arrival. Cancellations received within 30-days will forfeit the first month's deposit.

Online Travel Agents – Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third party travel professionals are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies.

Can I make changes to my reservation?

Please note that a change in the length or dates of your reservation may result in a rate change.

When can I check -in/check-out?

Check-in time is 4:00pm PST
Check-out time is 10:00am PST

Early check-ins and late check-outs can be requested however; we can’t guarantee this for you. We will note your request and do our best to accommodate. Please note that late checkout fees apply.

What is the late checkout policy?

Late Checkout Policy:

  • All late checkout requests must be approved prior to checkout day.
  • At 1:01p.m. PST on checkout day, a late checkout fee equal to 50% of that day’s Best Available Rate plus applicable taxes will be charged.
  • At 2:01p.m. PST on checkout day, a late checkout fee equal to 100% of that day’s Best Available Rate plus applicable taxes will be charged.
Can I check-in early?

Early Check-ins can be requested through our Guest Services Team on the day of arrival only, via phone, email or through our contactless check-in app, Canary.

Please note, there is a $50+tax charge for Early Check-ins and all requests are not guaranteed as they are based on availability. This request will only be approved if we have a room available.

Can I access the beach?

Our Resort is located along the edge of Craig Bay with a beautiful traversing path that allows beach access during low tide. Please note, the access point has a steep step-up which may be not usable for those with accessibility issues. We are also located within 3-minutes by vehicle to Rathtrevor Provincial Park which offers kilometers of beach, just up the road.

Does the Resort have EV charging stations?

Yes, Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort has 2 EV charging stations in our parkade that are available for use free of charge for guests of the Resort.

Does the Resort have a restaurant?

There is no restaurant directly on-site, but there is one within a 2-minute walk of the resort and there are many other dining options just a short drive away.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Our Resort offers a couple of suites that are designated as pet-friendly. Please check out our Pet Friendly Accommodations page for more information.

What is the environmental fee?

At Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort, each guest contributes a $1/night environmental fee which the Resort invests in projects to help remove, reduce, and eliminate the creation of greenhouse gases from the air we all share. These projects include: bigger and better recycling programs, green lifestyle services like bike racks, alternative in-room energy solutions such as energy efficient lighting, and more!

Will we have internet access?

Yes! All of our accommodations have complementary wireless internet access.

Can I smoke?

Smoking of any kind – which includes tobacco products, vaping, and cannabis – is restricted to the designated smoking areas ONLY. Smoking of any kind on the deck of your vacation home is not permitted. A charge will be incurred if you are discovered smoking in one of the vacation rental suites.

Is there housekeeping services?

Your suite is only cleaned upon departure. Mid-stay cleans are available for an additional fee and is required to be pre-booked 72 hours in advance. Please ask our reservation agents for more information.

Do all suites have air conditioning?

Almost all of our suites have air conditioning with the exception for some Studio Suites. Please contact us and request an air conditioned room when making a reservation.

What happens if I damage the suite?

Each vacation rental suite at Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort is a privately owned vacation home and we hope that you enjoy it as your own during your stay.  Please note that the renter will be liable for any items are missing or damaged during their stay and the replacement costs will be charged to the credit card on the reservation.
